L. martagon ‘Gregor Mendel’ Parentage: L. × dalhansonii Paisley Group X ((tsingtauense & martagon var. cattaniae) × tsingtauense) is out of production and you will not find much about it in a search. The lemon thick shiny petals are a trait of L. x hansonii form that was used in this genetic study.
With all of the genetic behaviors associated in this hybrid martagon displays, hence ‘Gregor Mendel’ father of modern genetics.
Complex hybrid of martagon dalmaticum x hansonii x tsingtauense. Having a mystery in the garden is alluring and intriguing to me. Is this a Komet Group martagon? One may never know—
(my thoughts) is that it is one of the Komet Group of Joachim Petruske studies. The hybridizer is also responsible for Theodore Haber and Hilde Haber along with others.
