L. x ‘Drops of SunShine’ Hybridized by Sandra Venton and at this writing is unregistered

Buttery yellow throughout with a lighter descending creamer colour reaching deep into the nectaries. This is one that I offered only one other time and now have a few that would be available for collectors and/or gardeners that just want something unusual. This showstopper is a prize for any garden due to its dwarf height. This is one that makes the crevice of rock gardens shine with a bit of vertical interest. Open and airy inflorescence.
This is spotless and slightly recurved. I am attracted to the large flat flowers that just dance in the breeze. Previous known as ‘SANDY’S SHORT YELLOW’ as it has not shown to be as tall as some of the other hybrid martagons that we are custom to. This hybrid is vigorous and creates a lovely smaller dwarf ( short ) clump that can be planted in rock gardens or in front pathways for a sparkle of sunshine. Very unusual for a martagon. Such a wonderful advancement in my eyes. But, in my opinion, anything that Ms. Venton creations are superior. What a rare opportunity if one can find this stunning drop of sunshine. www.hartlegilmangardens.com offered but chose to crop failure the three bulbs that were obtained until after it has been registered. Decision I made after speaking to SV.
24-26 inches tall
Plant 5-6 inches deep and water in well. Do not allow this to be planted in a deep shady canopy nor a continuous wet environment.
